PONYO! (pronounced with 2 same high tones)

I enjoyed watching this movie.. it gives me such a simple and innocent feeling (: ponyo is just a 5-year old creature and the "love" between her and sosuke is just so innocent and sweet. I feel so comfortable watching it haha. Yay!

School has started and i think i am still in the pseudo-holiday mood. People around me has already started studying already(a bit exaggerated but it's true!) so i am a bit stressed now. Plus the amount of band work and issues and problems coming up!! ahh.. *holy* stress ah~

Last semester result is not as good. I really have to buck up now le in order to do Honours by the end of Year 3.

haha no lah.. just kidding.. its just that i am too busy to log in and write in stuff.. many things happen since my last posts.. hmm.. result wise.. its quite a disappointment.. despite i spend more time studying compared to last semester.. camping in library.. the result is just nt satisfactory.. sigh.. so does it mean i shld just slack more (like 1st sem) and get a "better" result instead?? -__-'' life is uni is really so competitive sometimes.. its so completely different from jc times.. siann.. sometimes i think nus is a wrong choice for me eh..

hmmm currently i am having my reservist in pasir ris camp now.. zzz.. its a 11-day ICT.. but luckily tmr is the last day! i feel so old suddenly.. like when i am wearing my army uniform and taking bus to my camp full of sch kids in the morning.. just make me feel i dont belong to their generation (am i exaggerating?? HAHA) and also we have to do duty with the NSF.. i think the feeling sux lol.. for me and for them.. anyway because of that i can't play for commencement on monday.. feel so sian when you are in camp doing your duty and you picture your band mates having fun performing outside UCC.. i think its just my luck =(

i am looking forward to the band chalet which is... today! (aka the last day of my reservist also phew).. i like never go for any band chalet since when i am in j1? still remember that time the chalet is at changi there.. quite creepy as the old changi hospital is around that area but we all have fun playing games and exploring places heh.. i hope this chalet wil be as fun!

gd things always must come to an end.. i have another manning starting next monday.. so sian.. it lasted for a week and it clashes with my SOW prep camp.. zzz.. i am still in the midst of deciding whether to go or not.. well.. shall see the seniors attendance HAHHA..

last thurs.. the band committee meet up again to have a post mortem abt In Tempo 08.. a so called review and feedback abt the concert.. it lasted from 7 to abt 10pm.. a 3-hr meeting.. cloud and yokes were there to assist us on any pts that any of us have missed out.. a v fruitful meeting indeed haha.. to me.. cloud's batch of committee seems more efficient and more powerful den us.. yest i have a short conversation with yokes abt this and she said that maybe partly because in my batch of committee there weren't any experienced committee members inside to guide us abt how cfa and ucc works.. so i kinda agreed to this point and i am also very proud of my batch of committee because all of us did a very gd job on in tempo (given it was a really big scale event due to 40th anniversary) although there were problems encountered during the preparation of it and so on.. but i believe if we cont to be in the committee we would definitely be as efficient as cloud's batch.. right ex-co ppl??? =)

and so after yokes and cloud left.. we continue to hav our meeting abt upcoming events and oso abt the elections.. for upcoming event jama said that we are invited to join a so-called "tertiary band festival" for all tertiary band in singapore.. this is so cool man.. finally got a chance to perform with the other uni bands.. it was stil undecided but jama's asking the band on this upcoming thurs.. BUT theres a prob.. it clashes with my ICT!! damn.. i hope i can defer this time round.. den there was this world music competition.. we were quite keen of gg for it and mr tan oso dun really mind.. yea its another overseas trip again!! so many exciting events coming up.. looks like this holiday i am getting busy again.. for the elections.. it seems like alot of the comm members are running again.. but for smaller post.. i am stil very undecided.. at first i made up my mind that i will nt run next coming sem.. but den this meeting is kinda like a psycho-ing session.. den my decision shakes again.. zzz.. shld i run..???

anyway.. after the band meeting.. i went to meet up with kiong wee and cliques to catch a 1.50am midnight movie at cathay there.. titled "Sky of Love".. it was indeed a worth-it movie abt this relationship between a sch guy and a ger.. starting part of the movie was rather weird and nt very well flowed but at the end.. it was really touching and nice.. it really touches the inside of your heart.. i would nt mind watching it again! japanese movie rocks =) so when it ends it was abt 4am already.. and all of us took night rider bus home..

the concert day

a very bad start today.. i woke up with a terrible headache.. at first wanted to help the exhibition team to reach at 12 but the pain is killing me.. went to have another 30min slp b4 i prepare my stuff and head to ucc.. quite a number of ppl were alr there helping the last bit..

so the rehearsal starts.. it was very short though.. but the pain has yet to go away.. struggling my way thru zzz.. the concert went quite well.. comments were rather positive from the audiences.. it really creates the feeling the composer wants to portray.. so i would consider it a sucess!! and i heard mr tan really teared during the last movement of planet earth.. it was so grand and yet touching when it comes to the gaia hymn part.. the sound juz fill in every corner of the hall.. well done !! after the concert the committee are suppose to entertain the guest and vips.. it lasted until 9.. before my section went to swensen at holland v for dinner.. not b4 long.. there was a bad news abt out exhibition item is to be removed from ucc or else they will impose a 1000 dollars charge.. kinda ridiculous.. because it is sort of like a mis-management of the ucc staff.. zzz anw we quickly eat and went back to help to carry back the stuff back to cfa.. our initial plan - k-boxing was cancelled partly bcoz of tt.. argh.. wad a day for me..

last but not least.. thanks so much for those who came.. =)

i realise it's the same thing happening again.. it sux and i hated it.. a point of no return....

oh man.. let me see.. i 4 mths nv update le!!!
anw.. i really cant find a suitable time to settle down and peacefully write a post.. argh..
I was reading all my frens blog and den suddenly have the urge to write again.. hehe

sorry for those who are waiting for the update lolx.. i shall write in err more often.. LOL..

so much things happen.. hmmm dunnoe where to start ahha.. ok start from my last sem exam ba.. i spend the whole of studying week revising and preparing my exams in the sci library.. mug until they finally broadcast their short piece of classic and old yet catchy music at 9.45pm sharp.. haha i din have this mugging habit when i was in jc.. so i tot i might get quite gd grades and cap but den.. i nv get the grades i wanted to.. i guess i have chosen 2 wrong modules.. not trying to find excuses but its really the case.. hmmm.. except for my 3 compulsory mod that is preallocated.. i try bidding for those that i am interested in but still kena outbidded.. mayb because i was stil a freshies then so i am not very familiar with the bidding system and stuff.. so i happily anyhow bid for 2 other mod.. tts when i regret.. and 1 i even have to su it.. so i swear the next sem i sure choose properly.. haha.. ended up current sem i took only 4 mod!! dun ask me why.. =P

den there comes a brand new yr 2008.. i celebrate my countdown with my jc fren.. as usual its super crowded at the esplanade area.. but we are stil able to catch the amazing firewords around the field near the memorial area.. one of the pics taken is actually my msn dp.. yea.. going back time was tough.. we can get stuck at 1 spot for like 5 min.. ppl were anyhow jaywalking around.. police was there but i guess it didnt help to settle the situation much..

semester break was only 1 month long... so super short.. den the current sem came.. i applied for hostel for this sem and i got into ridge view residence.. its the old kent ridge.. not the high-storey and new type haha.. its erm quite cui man.. have to do lots of cleaning up with my room mate which is also 1 of my chem major fren.. at night theres alot of insect sounds.. and lizards sounds coming from like everywhere.. partly because my room was at the corner end.. near to the "forest" area.. and 1 of the surprising that shock me was the appearance of a rat there.. although erm haha its a "rat" yr.. but its seriously disturbing us.. the rat is actually "living" in my room.. everynight at about 1.30am plus.. i saw it running across the table and climb up to somewhere near a ceiling area.. i went to check and true enough there was a hole there.. and tt might be the place where the rat may "live".. so my fren and i went to consult the residence in charge and call the pest control guys to have a look.. so they went to put some sticky trap everywhere.. and some rat poison into the drain area... so a day later.. as i was leaving my seat and going to the toilet.. the same rat appeared b4 my door.. zzz.. it looked very weak and restless.. so it muz be due to the rat poison from the drain.. so my fren and i went to put the sticky pad next to it.. with some food at the centre of it.. and so it went in and trapped.. i must say the rat is really strong though.. i think if the rat is not poisoned b4 tt.. it is strong enough to get out of tt sticky trap.. and i shall not say the disposal part lolx..

so much for my hostel life.. talking abt band part.. i have a concert coming up!!
Its called "In Tempo 08" and this yr is also our 40th anniversary. so we are playing some pieces to go with our anniversary celebration.. its believed to be the first singapore premiere.. the piece is called "Planet Earth" composed by Johann de Meij

hah!
i think i totally forgot my blog.. lolx.. anyway.. was too busy to put update ah.. and hmm abit of laziness involved haa..
ok.. da capo is finally over!! a job well done for all the ppl involved.. the committee.. players.. backstage helpers.. soloists and not forgetting the most impt person of all.. mr tan!! it is my FIRST official concert playing with nusws (besides the one i played in Italy).. and i totally enjoyed it.. =)))

early on tt day me, hs and daniel were making sandwiches for the whole band.. must say it's not an easy job ah.. haha but we have fun preparing it.. and i made extra sandwiches for my section!! lolx.. hope they all enjoy it ya.. time passes v fast on tt day.. photo-taking session after the concert was very short.. i din manage to take photos with some of the other members~~ due to shortage of time plus i am busy walking around =(

and before i forget.. thanks for all tt came!! =)) so after the concert my section went to settlers to play board games.. it was very enjoyable and fun.. especially joshua trying to psycho alison and sharon.. and forever-laughing zoey lolx.. her laughing disease is contagious sia.. omg.. haha.. we played till like around 12 midnight before junlong send some of us home.. thanks!~

an end of Italy trip means start of school term!! just some updates on post-Italy events..

i had this science orientation week.. SOW.. basically some "camp" to let u noe more frens before school officially starts.. its a four-day camp and stay in.. but apprarently due to some other outside committment i cant stay for all 3 nites.. so first day we have this station games.. whereby games are allocated to different areas in nus.. so basically spend whole day walking around.. and there's this game which played on the field.. called the "hamburger game".. so each person is supposed to represent some ingredients in a burger.. and so when the station master said the type of bread he want.. we'll have to stack up (by lying on top of 1 another).. and we were like sian diao.. cause its after rain some more.. and its full of mud.... zzzzzzzzz... other games are so-so lah.. and surprisingly despite our og being the "not-very-on" og.. we got third overall.. how contradicting.. haha.. following days we have some cors briefing and mass dance.. its quite fun and i must say the lead male and female dancer dance very well and very competible.. third day i did not attend the activities because of some other committment haha.. flag day i did not go too because i was very sick and sentosa day too.. because basically all members in the og is not interested and so all never turn up.. lolx.. but the movie night with sp i attended.. together with the rest of the og members.. my sp is quite an outgoing person.. and she's from sajc.. for the last programme of SOW we have rag day.. its held at the padang and the weather is freaking hot and because i have yet to recover fully.. i feel dizzy most of the time.. and so science fac won abt 5 medals in total.. but still not enough to get the chancellor's shield.. very tired after that.. but i still go for badminton after that =) and so was totally "cui" by the time i played finish.. haha..

on the 12/8 we have this post Italy trip bbq session for all those who went to Italy.. its at east coast park.. me daniel and hs went to rent bicycles while nick and ben go rollerblading.. had some fun.. then awhile later went to set up the fire.. the pit was very camouflaged.. with the top covered with trees.. so quite a lot of ppl turn up.. and the catered bee-hoon is nice!! overall it was enjoyable..

we had a surprise celebration for yoke's birthday as well.. also a bbq session but this time its at pasir ris park.. the pit is better den the one at east coast.. and because our actings were so gd.. yoke's really got a shock surprise!! =) can see that she's very touched by what we've done.. it must be the best present she had before she have to leave for overseas for SEP.. on her boarding day we went to see her off too!! already at the airport around 2am plus.. we wait till abt 4am den she arrive.. so we took pictures and all that.. and den bid her gdbye.. my lesson for that day was at 9am.. i've got basically 3-4 hrs to spare and going back home and coming back was quite stupid.. sooo.. to maximise the time.. i suggested nick to drive me to yishun mrt (so he could go back fast and rest) and then at the same time i can go school from there by mrt.. and i reach school at about 8.30am.. haha.. but was feeling damn tired when the lecture starts..

jama is the new president for nusws.. congrats to her.. i believe she can handle this position well =) the welcome tea for nusws was gd.. many freshmen turn up.. for my section alone.. we have abt 15 ppl.. haha.. a BIG saxophone section.. but then in the end we have 12 who are joining us for Da Capo.. its on the 27th Oct.. University Cultural Centre.. and i was being "pushed" to be the sl for my section because the seniors do not want to -_-'' i had to say that being a sl is not easy.. firstly i am stil quite new to nusws and secondly i am just a yr 1 freshie!! hai.. but wads decided is decided.. we ended practice around 9+ for section interaction and food session.. i did not have the chance to eat the food as i was busy handling the new freshies.. the next practice was the committee election.. i was the run-over assistant librarian.. and the combination of sl + asst. librarian is really not very easy to handle.. but i will try my best and work well with the rest of the committee =)

school life for the 1st 2 wks were pretty ok.. though the 8am lecture for tuesday and friday is a bit irritating.. so coincidental that mon i had sectionals and thurs i had main band prac.. in which both days i will reach home rather late.. and the following days i have 8am lectures.. how coincidental!! third week comes the tutorials and lab session.. and i hardly have time to rest from the timetable i have now.. i've also got a hard time catching up my chem modules.. its just so physics.. and i hate it.. till a point that i actually wanted to change majors.. its still pending.. but i guess i must settle it soon..

problems just keep coming up.. study.. family.. and even frens.. my life is sooo screwed.. i need a break...

Italy trip - Day 10 (10/07/07)

another super early morning for us.. omg haha luckily its the last day that we need to wake up this early.. and we set off to..... Firenze!! again its a 4-hr journey and so we make use of the long time to get back some of our sleep lolx.. Firenze is just a normal town to me and not as impressive as Venezia.. we visited another cathdral again and paid 2.50 euros for the entrance fees.. we had lunch at the MacDonald at the central train station.. and prices are about twice that of singapore.. but of course the size is abit bigger.. but i stil find that its not very worth it.. tonight is the last night of my stay here in Italy.. have some photo taking with our host family.. hmmm mixed feeling..

overall the Italy trip was indeed very enjoyable and fun.. we got to learn more about Italian's culture and stuff.. if there's another chance.. i would definitely come back again =) some very special thanks to my host family.. for taking care of us all these while and preparing super ultra good food thats much much better den singapore.. i really love that haha.. and definitely not forgetting those who are involved in organising this Italy trip in one way or another.. thank you =) hmmm.. i think the first thing to do when i get back to singapore is.. to eat the bak chor mee!! hehe =)

Italy trip - Day 9 (06/07/07)

waking up at 5am is damn shiong lah.. but we've got no choice hahah and the bus came punctually at 7.30am and so a full 3-hr excruciating bus ride starts.. luckily there's a 20min break in between for our toilet breaks and stuff.. upon reaching Venezia we took a short boat ride to one of the station called S. Marco.. we did alot of shopping there.. bought souvenirs for my frens too.. and overall Venezia is really a city not to be missed.. when goin back that time.. we met cedric's grp.. and unfortunately zhe guang lost his boat tics and we decided to accompany him to walk all the way back to the main station.. very long walk plus super hot weather.. tiring indeed haha.. we bid farewell to those who are staying in Venezia and extending grp.. had our dinner at the break time again.. reach back host's hse at around 11.30pm due to traffic jams.. did a little packing and prepare for Florence tmr!!

Italy trip - Day 8 (05/07/07)

woke up rather reluctantly this morning.. at about 6.45am because both of us were so super tired.. we set off to Lake Como at 8.30am.. another bus ride of about 45min and we reached this ultra beautiful Lake Como.. but before that we went to visit another cathedral.. yes another cathedral again lolx.. and den we roam around the town until 11.30am before we take a boat to another nearby town called Bellagio.. boat ride was very shuang and enjoyable.. especially the breeze that blow past you plus the scenary on the both side of the lake.. we were sitting at the top part of the boat and there's this chimney that emits black smoke and some "horning" sound once in a while.. very loud indeed.. quite irritating though haha as we have to cover our ears and could not do anything.. joined jama's grp again while roaming the beautiful town.. as usual we had our gelatos for about 2 euros.. visited some roadside shops that sell glass silk and other souvenirs.. time really flies and its time for us to leave the town.. had hainanese chicken rice for dinner again!! lolx.. and there's this marching band thing going on in the Besana square.. we attended it but it was so super crowded.. and since i cant view much anyway partly because of my height haha compared to those Italian's and so ended up playing cards in a small cafe nearby while waiting for the fireworks to start.. the 20-25min fireworks is so nice lah.. so enjoyable.. and the last part is.. totally owning!! lolx.. last part of the day was bubble-wrapping our instruments and sealing them with tapes.. and again we have to reach back home early because tmr we will wake up even earlier.. 5am..

Italy trip - Day 7 (04/07/07)

for today.. we are basically free as there were no programmes allocated and so.. we spent time with our own hosts! we woke up a bit later den usual.. like 10 plus.. and decided to visit a town called Monza.. it's quite a cool town.. many roadside shops and selling many branded stuff.. and actually many old and rich families live over that area.. next we went to visit this big Monza cathedral.. but we are not allowed to take pictures there.. there are crowns and jewels displayed inside.. very specticulating indeed.. on our way back we oso visited this very very big and grand palace.. and oso a beautiful garden next to it.. which won the "best garden award" in some yrs lolx.. again we had carbonara spaghetti for the lunch!! *high* hahahha.. and then we visited a perfume factory next.. i bought some souvenirs for my mum and sis there.. we decided to cook bak kut teh for our host for dinner to let them try some of our local food.. so we headed down to the supermarcato again to buy ribs and a whole chicken for the Hainanese chicken rice.. and our host family like it alot =) when they ask us how much is a plate of the chicken rice we ans them.. about 1 euro.. and look at their expression!! they stone and stun at us for awhile.. kind of like unbelievable because its like so cheap and yet the meal is so nice.. anyway at night we went to watch the Band of Festival concert in Besana.. i would say the repertoire is not very entertaining.. but good job for all those nusws members who performed there =) came back quite early as we had to wake up early to visit Lake Como tmr!!

Italy trip - Day 6 (03/07/07)

today is Milan day!! we took 1 full hr bus ride to get to there.. first we visited the Science and Technology museum.. where they display all the works of Leonardo da Vinci.. lots of pictures were taken there.. there were hardly anytime to sit down and had a proper lunch and so our host pack fos us "pocket lunch" consisting of 3 sandwiches.. some drinks and an apple.. very filling indeed.. Duomo was our next destination.. its one of the grandest and largest cathedrals in Italy.. some silly and unexpected incidents happened at that area.. as there were tons of pigeons flying outside the cathedral.. we wanted to take a pictures with them and so there were guys who were giving us corns and helping us take photos and guess how much they demanded.. 20 euros!! omg.. cheated like hell.. damn pissed off because 20 euros is like 40 bucks singapore dollars.. this lesson learnt cost me so much.. argh.. enough of this incidents.. we went back to Besana and had fish and chips with our host family before we perform a final concert in Brugora.. the place was not very good for performing though.. our sounds were quite messed up partly because we cant really hear what the rest of us were playing.. luckily the Italians enjoyed it =) we packed our instruments and quickly rushed back to Besana to listen to the Lithuana band that is performing.. they were playing some pop and jazz pieces and i must say their players are very zai.. i was so impressed by their sound.. after which me lifei phobe and yongkiat went to play cards at the seating area.. reached home at about 2am.. totally "cui" by then..

Italy trip - Day 5 (02/07/07)

i had a very sweet dream.. something that i would never imagine to happen in real life.. how i wish i can just stay on there and not wake up =) this morning our host bring us to visit this second oldest church called Le Basillica de Romantica.. it was built in year 1000 and scenery inside was fantastic.. a wedding ceremony was about to start when we get there.. and tt means we must get all the photos there fast hahaa.. and we were very lucky as they showed us the priest's room.. we left not long after before we visit the supermarcato to get some cheese and limonecello.. lasagne was what we have for lunch.. it really rocks and melts inside my mouth hahaha *thumbs up* again.. after having such great meals.. we set off to Milano.. it was a 45min journey.. first we went to Univerita Catholica and we actualy have to seek permission to enter it as there were some exams going on in the hall.. we still got in and as usual.. photo time!! lolx.. we were free to roam in Naglivi after we left the university.. joined jama's grp and went to this two-dollar shop and bought a coffee maker for my mum.. we ate our dinner buffet at a mini bar.. and when it reach night time.. lots and lots of mosquitoes (battalions) were flying around us and all of us were trying our best to leave the place afap.. we headed back to Besana in the end and realise that the performing band there were playing Vesuvius.. its so power and nice.. haha..

Italy trip - Day 4 (01/07/07)

Had a very gd sleep last night thanks to the beer drank after the concert.. woke up at about 9am.. as usual biscuits and coffee for breakfast and off we go to attend a Catholic Mass in Besana.. the 1hr ceremony was quite enjoying.. with singing here and there and although i am not a Catholic.. we had carbonara spaghetti for lunch!! so damn nice lah compared to singapore.. its not too creamy as those in pastamania and most of the western restaurants that served.. *thumbs up*.. next we had this marching session in Besana and about 7 bands were involved.. like from Lithuana, Colombia, Italy, Olanda and Belgio.. it was a very hot day.. and this Colombia band.. although their attire everything are so cool.. but their marching are really very slow.. i would say slow step dancing instead.. all the bands tt had gathered were all waiting impatiently for them to reach the Besana square.. when all had gathered there.. we played our own national song and hymn of the nations before we march out from the square.. meet our host again and for dinner our host brings us out to have pizza!! so the serving for each of us was 1 whole pizza.. it was huge and filling and our host taught us a way to eat it lolx and its so cool.. quickly we finish the pizza and prepare for the concert at night.. although it rain during our concert time.. we can still see alot of audience watching us perform and i think they are quite impressed by some of our pieces like the merry widow and ban frei.. had some red wine before i slp..

Italy trip - Day 3 (30/06/07)

woke up at 8am and as usual.. had biscuits and coffee for breakfast.. we were suppose to attend some ceremony at Besansa but because they had limited space and so i nv attend.. instead i join some other grp and do some exploring and shopping.. we visited a nearby train station and the BDF rehearsal place.. lunch was at this filippini villa.. at night we got to do some marching at Medolago town.. b4 that dinner was around the area too.. had penne beef chicken and turkey and some fries too.. hahaa v filling man.. finally we get to march to the main town.. because it was first time we actually did a wrong turn because we nv do a proper rehearsal at the area and so everything was so im-promtu.. so malu lah.. hahaa.. but well we heck care and try to look professional there lolz.. and we have a proper performance at last.. and they seem to like our merry widow, ben frei and redesky march =) there were refreshment after the concert.. i had a bottle of beer.. and i actually have another 1 because i was kind of cheated lah.. thanks to phoebe.. lolz.. i was "partially" drunk haha.. my mind was stil awake but not my legs when we get down the bus because i realise i was somehow walking sideways already hahaha.. when i got back home.. i immediately lie on my bed and *off*.. and started having my dream in within.. 10sec...

Italy trip - Day 2 (29/06/07)

slp well the previous night.. except for the fact that its abit cold and slow passing of time there!! i woke up a few times thinking that its already morning.. only to find that its stil midnight -_-'' so not used to it.. and so finally i get to wake up properly at abt 7.50am.. we had biscuits and coffee for breakfast.. had a rehearsal at one of the hall at the Besana place.. lunch was at one of the sch's canteen ( i think ) .. had penne and pork plus some fruit and veg for dinner.. it was very fillinf indeed..

visiting Lake lecco was next.. scenary was simply fantastic and lots of pictures were taken there.. visited some shops along the streets there and find that their stuff were rather expensive.. visited a DOM ( cathedral ) there and it is rather big.. went back to have dinner with host.. had some pasta and pesto.. and tried this new wine called lemoncello.. its damn nice man!! especially the lemon taste.. though its abt 32% in alcohol.. haha.. had some raspberry ice cream too =) we had to meet again to watch the Besana opening concert.. 3 bands were involved but mainly were high-school bands.. felt rather weird bcoz of the lack of woodwinds there and so the overall sound was not much of the "pyramid sound" that we always get to hear.. it ended rather late at abt 12.30am b4 our host send us back home.. time really pass slooowly there..

Italy trip - Day 1 (28/06/07)

Yes!! today is the day.. finally starting on my very first overseas trip without my parents around.. i was very nervous.. keep on checking if all important stuff are put inside the luggage or not.. Daniel called me at abt 3pm to ask me to go hav dinner at Popeye around 5pm.. and so i were there rather early.. with my mum and sis sending me off~ not long after i saw Cloud, Daniel and Xw and join them.. Alison, Nick and some other nusws members were already there eating.. and so we joined them to eat.. my sections were all there by around 6pm and we took a section photo together.. and haha eng kwang was there to send us off too.. and den I was given the task of giving ribbons to all the ppl and to be tied to every luggage.. in the end we were abit late for the checking in and stuff.. and yah had a full nusws photo taking b4 we all fly off.. I was seated with mr leonard tan and edna.. so during the whole flight we talk abt band's curriculum in Singapore and other band related stuff.. we talk for so long b4 realising that the plane is landing.. its so fast sia.. the Thailand airport was rather big.. and we waited 1 and a half hr for our next flight.. next flight was very terrible.. it was soooo long and bored.. only manage to slp like for an hr or so there.. breakfast on the plane was nice.. i had omelette and sausages.. the plane finally landed at abt 7.30am Milan time.. the air was so cooling when we get out of the plane.. so shuang~ haha.. went to collect our luggage and instruments b4 we met our trip representatives frm Italy.. she was a bit poor in English but we manage to decipher it bit by bit haha.. we had another 45min bus journey b4 we reached our main festival place: Besana..

From there we were "handed over" to each respective host families.. for me I am sharing room with Dennis.. a trumpet player.. and our host name is Mr and Mrs Sala Silvio.. =) sad to say that the hse is among the furthest awy from Besana compared to other band members.. Their hse is like a big mansion la.. so big and nice.. they even had a medium size garden!! omg.. so cool man.. they grow food like potato and fruits like apricot strawberry and so on.. we had lunch with them.. first we had this delicious lemon chicken and risotto.. its so nice man.. tried their wine too =) we chatted for awhile b4 they bring us around their town.. Biassono.. And they actually got a F1 racing track within 500metres of their hse.. they brought us around and spend sometime there.. there were some motorcyclists practising there.. took lots of pics there haha.. Mr Silvio den bring us to Gelato and tried the ice-cream there.. omg.. their gelato rocks.. really.. singapore is really nth compared to them.. next he bring us to this mini museum where there are display of what an old Italian hses look like.. tools they use for farming and stuff.. we visited their supermarcato next.. things were pretty the same except for fruits and cheese that they sell there.. for dinner we had this "Italian wanton" called raviorli and wads inside were cheese and ham.. not bad haha.. and we went on to have some cold cooked beef mixed with lemon sauce and olive oil.. after which we went back to rest.. oh yes their nighttime only comes at around 10pm.. hahaha.. so not used to it.. but its rather cold at night.. i finally went to bed at around.. 1am..

studying in uni is really different frm jc.. so much diff that i actually had a culture shock lol.. this special term is abt 1 and a half mth.. i predicted that all lectures would be taught finished by abt 1st wk of June and guess what my exam is in between 2nd and 3rd wk.. barely abt 10 days to prepare.. and on top of that we were given some scientific essays to do.. have to do a lot of research all that.. damn.. how to survive like that..

i hope things will get better when the main term starts in august.. and my parents kept on telling me to study hard.. very much wanted to tell them that i am already so big now i will know when to work and when to play.. but just dunnoe how to "kai kou".. so far i only recognise 2 fren frm my module lecture grp.. khoi mun and mary.. haaha but i hope to know more frens when the orientation comes?

on every thurs night i'll have nus band practice for the italy trip.. omg saxophone players are owning man.. on my right there's a rjc guy and on my left a hcjc gal -_-'' win liao lor.. first day i go there i sight read like siao.. some pieces are so difficult !! like danse diabolique.. going at a speed of 160 is a bit crazy.. but its a v nice piece.. those 2 players play so well and perfectly.. maybe because they played it for the previous concert before and thats why they had no problems sight reading.. tt makes me feel lousy and shld just quit saxophone lol.. i just stopped playing halfway hahaa give up.. other pieces we played are 76 trombones.. do re mi.. and so on..
saxophone's conditions was quite bad.. have so much difficulty playing it.. mr. leonard tan was the conductor there.. i tink he's quite a friendly person.. and i do not feel stress playing under him.. tts a gd thing.. and luckily i noe 3 of my seniors there, cedric daniel and firdaus.. so not so bored ba..

finally.. a step towards adulthood.. dunnoe if its a gd thing or not.. u'll have more responsibility frm this point onwards and have to really make careful decisions in your future.. but of cause some gd point is that u gain more freedom from now onwards.. =)

a very big thank you for those who had, in one way or another, celebrated my bdae.. that is kw, edwin, weilun, kenn, vickie, clement, julian, andy, weilung, weiren, shufen, eileen, hwa ee, clarice and jocelyn. So on that very day kw and clique had dinner with me at Thai express at ps.. so happened andy, weiren and weilung were there and so decided to have dinner together. =) We have a cake too, thanks its v nice.. after that we decided to play dota tt night so all went home afterwards.. though we did not have any mid-night events but i appreciated all these.. thank you all once again..

looking back my past 21 yrs.. found that i have done a lot of stupid and foolish things without me knowing lol.. guess i have finally matured abit hahaa.. still i have one dying wish that have not come true.. when will it happen..? i am always waiting...

on last fri.. we went to watch this japanese show.. Nada Sou Sou (Tears for you).. a loving and touching movie featuring this non-blood related brother and sister relationship.. would highly recommend those who would want to have a cry-out time.. quite a number of the audience were crying at the end of it.. and the climax is at the end of the show.. where they feature this song Nada Sou Sou.. you would find it familiar because it originates from one of the chinese song sung by a female Singaporean.. but of coz the Japanese sang it with more style and feelings.. yup its really a worth it show.. its been a long time since i watched a nice touching show like this except "Taiyou no Uta"..

hooo... ORD lo!! haha.. it was like a wk ago?? just too lazy to blog coz i guess nobody will come and visit my blog haha but to my surprise lol.. well shall continue to update yea =)

some updates.. tpjcband concert ended a wk ago too.. yeps.. i tink all of us were not at our best sia.. quite a lot of negative comments from the audiences.. and also u can see dr lee's face when he's conducting.. so half of the time sian already.. but well as least its a full house!! hahaa.. a job well done from the main and the alumni band!! after that oso took photos wif my section and 2 most act cute gal in the band.. whahaa.. so after the concert wanted to watch some midnight movie wif kw they all but lol.. wanted to watch mr bean's holiday.. but all were almost sold out!! and you should see the crowd at tampines mall.. wha.. the queue extends from the cinema itself to the entrance of the japanese noodle shop!! its like 11++ le.. lol.. all are learning to become midnight hunter lol.. we oso went to century square there to see also but response is stil the same.. all sold out!! wth.. haha fed up le den end up eating at the burger king there.. after that we walk round and round that area den we went home..

finally ord le.. but i dun feel the mood there.. somehow reluctant and yet a bit happy.. weird haha.. and was shocked to know my reservist unit b4 i leave my camp oso.. wth.. so fast.. din expect it la.. i plan to rest at home for a mth b4 i start sch in may.. yep.. decided to join the NUS band also.. heard they are going italy at the end of June.. so wanted to go sia haha so was contemplating abt it.. most probably ba.. since i nv go for any overseas trip wif band peeps since secondary sch..!! and the cost is quite reasonable.. shall see how ba..

joined back tpjc alumni band recently n decided to perform for their upcoming concert in March.. Its only $7.. interested can drop me a msg..

And yes in my camp there's another Chinese New Year Spring Festival Competition going on.. Me, Sudhin and Chuck will be performing.. main theme is CNY and so three of us had come up with a mini CNY medly, using saxophone and guitar. Hope that competition is not strong coz we barely had time to practice due to different duty timing.

Bought a japanese drama called "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World" .. still watching halfway through and it's a damn nice and touching story.. definitely worth buying.. soundtrack inside is impressive too..

finally.. a new yr.. a good start for everyone.. may all the unhappiness be forgotten during the past year..

during new year's eve.. had a small celebration with a group of my buddies and friends.. tt includes edwin, kw, julian and his gf, guangliang, eileen, kenneth and clement.. had steamboat for dinner at marina there.. so damn crowded.. but still we proceeded, by the time we found a proper place to rest and had our long waited dinner.. it's abt 9.30pm.. chatted and eat at the same time.. not long after woan rong and a group of band friends joined in.. but not for long.. at abt 12 midnight sharp we heard sound of the fireworks.. quickly we went ouside to have a better view.. the firework performance was great.. never fail to impress us.. after that we walk all the way back to the mrt station.. only to realise we missed the last train..!! no choice la have to walk all the way to shenton way.. den esplanade area.. and finally to clarke quay where we spent a while to rest over that.. bought drinks at the 7-11 there.. all were too tired to walk on.. so decided to took cab back to hougang to play lan.. i didnt join in coz were not prepared.. reached home abt 4++..

the day after.. weilun have to go overseas for his pilot test.. me, edwin, eileen and shufi went to see him off.. three of us had lunch at popeye there.. after that went home after that..

just a day ago.. had a small camp outing with alvin, puah, sim, eugene, kai wei.. had dim sum buffet and den ktv at marina square.. after which went to catch a movie.. Pan's Labrinyth.. not much positive comment abt it.. its suppose to be a fairy tale.. but a war scene just pop out frm nowhere.. though is a spanish show.. i find it a bit no link.. and YES there were blood and violence scene inside.. shld have rated higher.. after that we went home.. duty the next day..!!

things are pretty gd so far at the start of the yr.. oh and my ord date is drawing soon..!! finally a 2-digit countdown..

rehiz again to all..!! have not been blogging for a long long time.. close to 4 mths le.. during these period a lot of changes have been added to my life.. and most of them were nt positive though.. regarding my ns.. today is the ord date for me.. supposedly.. YES IT'S TODAY!!.. IF i have not disrupted for my short jc studies.. my bmt section mates were holding some ord bbq event today.. and wanted to invite me over.. but unfortunately i were not able to attend.. cuz i need to report back to camp tonight.. moreover.. if i went.. i would feel left out coz i am not the one ord-ing today.. talking about camp stuff.. i have a change of post.. i am no longer a RP in my camp.. been posted to security control center.. taking charge of keys.. fire alarms.. and most of the security stuffs.. it's a good experience for me though.. can learn new things.. hope it can last me till my ord date..

just recently.. a lot of unwanted and unexpected things were happening to my family.. had a hard time accepting and enduring them.. luckily the situation were better now.. some how under control already.. BUT.. thats not the end.. just a few days ago.. i have received some big shocking news.. and that would most probably lead to one big decision.. though dunno when.. but its almost 90% confirmed.. that's.. i am leaving.. going back to where i came from.. not coming back anymore.. at that point of thought.. i had lots of of "she bu de".. all my frenz in singapore.. happy memories and stuffs.. all would be gone.. how?? and my studies..?? so many questions were going round in my head.. these period of time.. i had lots of sleepless night.. and if i went back.. i think i would hav difficulty surviving.. cuz i am so used to the culture over here.. and all those future plans i had.. would be gone.. till this point of time in my life.. it's just a 180 degress turn for me.. will i be able to survive it.. seems like only God knows the answer..

off day today.. but rather out of luck lately.. felt like being "eaten" in my section.. firstly i have no long weekends for a period of 5 wks due to some reason.. secondly yest i had one of my longest duties done ever in the wkends.. thirdly i did nt have the luck to get my national day off.. forthly tml will hav a shiong duty bcoz new peepz are going for range.. argh.. damn..

today went out.. went to watch movie.. "the click".. wow its a really a nice show.. combination of some comedy.. and also some sad scenes.. its really entertaining.. and somehow after the show.. it just prompts me to reflect upon my entire life.. do i treasure wad i have..? have i regret the things tt i have done..? have i been taking things for granted..? it just have a rather big impact on me.. a lot of thoughts just went across my mind.. *stifled n confused*

aww.. got a terrible nightmare last night.. i was on duty from 2 to 5 in the early morning.. and so after which went back bunk to have a quick nap before next duty starts at 7.. and so started sleeping at 5.30am.. and so the nightmare starts.. cant really remembered clearly but i was in an unfamiliar place.. i was being surrounded by some "ppl".. den they started to surround me.. changing to their true "form".. i cant move all tt.. and they were getting nearer to me.. going to eat me up.. wow.. i woke up.. only to realise i was having nightmare inside my nightmare.. again.. the "thing" started to get nearer to me again.. this time it seems more "real and scarier".. changing to even a scarier "form".. cant forgot the terrible eyes and mouth.. and finally got to wake up.. dis time luckily its real.. phew.. got some cold sweat.. the scariest thing is tt at first i tot i already woke up frm the nightmare when i was stil actually sleeping inside my nightmare.. so it gave me the feeling tt i cant get rid of the nightmare.. cant get back to the real world.. aww.. the whole thing seems ridiculous but trust me.. its terrible..

anyway.. todays final for the 9pm show.. love at zero degree.. damn nice.. woohoo yixin n weixiang..!! cool.. how i wish tt it really happen.. it will sure b damn touching..

yesterday was the tpjc band concert.. titled musical synergy.. its a combined concert with the guitar club and tampines east cc japanese drum group.. well look forward to this day coz can meet back old band mates again.. so met weilun and fumin at raffles mrt at 530.. as usual la they were late.. went to bk to eat b4 we go to the concert.. a lot of catching up stuff while we ate.. ya so reach vch rather early.. went to backstage to find ppl.. was surprise when i saw jiahui alan and daniel helping out to play in dis concert.. saw lots of band juniors and those current j1s.. their batch are quite big eh surprisingly.. and so the concert starts.. first 2 pieces were performed by the band.. merry widow and movement for rosa.. merry was quite ok.. but movement was abit messed up.. next 9 songs were by the guitar club.. nice but were abit bored.. after all tt was interval.. went backstage to find them and did some comments abt them.. tk pictures all tt.. next 2 pieces were gd.. conducted by dr lee.. el capitane and japanese tune.. izzit bcoz dr lee conducting so they stress..? lol.. got a overwhelming cheer and round of appaluse from the audience.. gd job! tts the end of concert for the band while the cc drum grp perform.. we sneak out halfway again to backstage to look for dr lee n tk photos.. haha.. it was an enjoyable moments.. jc life compared to ns.. 2 worlds apart.. so for those guys stil studying.. better treasure ur time there.. so overall the band was rather united.. and standard did improve.. and so somehow prompts me to go back to play for the alumni band.. supper at lau pa sa with sujin julian and his gf.. eileen clement alan and kenneth.. and finally went back home after tt..

Wha.. just realise i actually did nt update my blog for close to 3 mths.. lol.. but i tink it doesn't matter la.. coz not alot ppl will see my blog de.. hmm.. a lot of things happened during this period.. and yes those are nt very happy incidents.. part of the reason why i nv update my blog.. suddenly during this period everything just changed.. not to the better side but to the worse.. camp.. my frenz.. and yupz.. me myself had changed a lot.. and what made me changed..? environment. frenz around me.. and unhappy things tt happened to me made me changed.. sad to say it.. but its true.. little things and incidents that happened during that period of my life made me realise that i should nt be my usual self.. i should change.. coz no one will appreciate it.. if u dun change.. u are just adding sufferings to your life.. so kinda "forced" to change myself.. haiz.. things just dun go the way i wanted..

bought "the myth" yesterday and watched it just now.. its a really really nice show.. touching.. romantic and dramatic.. its about a guy who dreamt of an ancient history and he tried to find out wads all tt about.. got a quote from the movie i found is quite true and is worth thinking about.. "dreams are made up of your imagination and creativity.. and also memories of your reality and your past life.. tts why dreams can be so imaginary and yet so real.."

hah.. finally a day to remember.. its the day i start my 1 yr countdown.. so next yr of dis day i will be FREE.. lol.. kinda foolish coz ppl usually start their countdown for their last 3 mths.. but who cares.. its gd enough for me man.. well whenever there's gd news.. bad news always follow.. my camp changed quite alot.. in terms of duties wise.. alot of things now are forbidden to do.. not say forbidden la.. can do but only end up confined lo.. haha.. thats all the commanders can come up with when we made mistakes.. cant we compromise..? punish accordingly (if u know wad i mean..) they always tink wad they do is correct.. but that is not always the case.. rp course just started dis wk.. we have lack of ppl again.. and they insist to have some of our section ppl changing over.. y..? though temporary.. but it caused quite a no of changes to our duty schedule thingy.. no other better decision..? well there is.. just that they din wan to do it.. we are always at the disadvantage side.. haiz.. just like in the society.. in the service sector.. customers are always right and of coz the other way for the salesman.. dun u agree..? for me if i were to find a job.. i wouldnt choose those service job.. where we have to see customers face.. their attitude all tt.. will definitely drive me crazy man.. lol.. for those who had high tolerance level.. mayb they wouldnt mind.. but u know some customers are just so.. unreasonable..

hmm.. quite a no of events had passed.. n dunno y.. nt much of a mood to blog down for the past few wks.. ok a level results were out.. heard that whole spore were nt doing very well.. some of my juniors consulted me abt wad they shld do.. i did my best to give my advice and try to calm them down.. if u think u did nt do well.. its nt the end of world ya.. there's always a way out.. just be strong and move on.. back to camp life.. duty off duty off schedule was in some way tiring la.. off today.. den tml duty again.. its like spending at least a portion of the time everyday in the camp.. tt sux la.. our new section people went well with one another.. just tt i am the last one to ord.. tt feelings sux but.. wad to do eh.. now only looking forward to my 1 yr countdown lol.. soon soon.......

hmm.. a very special day for all the couples out there.. its valentine's day.. yea.. actually i din realise it at first until my camp mates are all frantically talking abt how they are celebrating it and wad presents to give to their loved ones tt rings the bell to me.. its a hot topic i guess in most camps.. since their lives are surrounded by only guys.. sad to say.. lolz.. some of my friends are giving jewellery as presents.. which costs abt 200+.. while some juz make their own ones and had dinner together.. on my way back.. i even saw a couple celebrating it inside a mrt station eh.. of coz in a remote corner.. can see tt dis special day is impt to all of them.. early in the morning.. during my work time some of the perm staffs are carrying flowers to work.. and even some of the visitors are carring bags of presents plus a stalk of rose inside..

anybody knows how this day comes abt..? hmm some of my teachers told my ex class abt it.. but i had only a short memory of it.. in fact i dun even remember a thing.. juz heard of a guy called valentine tt is involved in it.. lolz.. well to me.. its juz another loving day for couples to be together.. y do most of the couples give presents to their loved ones only on dis very day..? quoted frm one of the song lyrics in fish leong's feng shou kuai le.. fantastic.. amazing.. unbelievable.. speechless.. wad else can i say abt my 90 bucks concert at 8pm.. he's simply the best.. yupz i m talking abt the kenny g concert.. held in max pavillion.. the expo area there.. his playing skills totally rules the whole night.. be it tonality.. expression.. running of notes.. musicality.. everything was at the top.. really.. the more i stay at the concert the more it makes me feel like i shld quit playing it.. he's so professional on it.. though the acoustic there was not the best.. his saxophone playing simply amazes everyone.. his slow songs bring everyone inside to his music (sth like tao2 zhui4 in chinese) .. and his fast songs bring everyone to be in a joyful clapping session.. concert was abt 2hr and 30min long.. it actually started at 8.30pm though.. concert includes a variety of his songs.. like sentimental.. forever in love.. G-pop.. havana.. the moment.. the joy of life.. my favourite things.. and a couple which i cant name them.. the last encore song was songbird.. simply the best la.. cd is nth compared to his live performance.. 90 bucks nt wasted at all.. i really enjoyed it.. oh ya.. he did demonstrated the circular breathing.. and by holding a note for abt 10min.. well he can do it for as long as he want but he might nt want to do it as it will be boring la.. concert ends at 10.30pm.. quickly rush back to camp to continue my duty.. i will nt hesitate to go for his next concert in singapore.. yea..

ok.. have stand by today.. was pretty hot today.. sgt koh on duty.. he allowed whole section to have stay out.. yeah.. so went out with aug and robin to eat at harbourfront subway.. juz realise singapore dun hav alot of subway restaurant.. as in much less compared to macdonalds all tt fast food.. we chatted alot abt camp and army stuff.. how much changes had been brought to cmpb over the years.. sharing our previous unit stuffs.. so at the end of the tok we are common abt 1 thing.. ur shld noe la.. so went home by mrt after tt.. damn crowded la as it was time for dismissal frm work.. reached home abt 2200 sharp..

juz realise tt nowadays i met alot of my secondary classmates and band friends.. like weiren jevon alien darren bernard han yong blah blah.. mostly coming for the check up thing.. said hi to one another though.. but no long conversation coz i was doing duty.. very sad to say tt i feel alone wherever i go.. well its juz my personal feeling.. yes i have friends but.. somehow i dun feel they are with me.. whenever i go out.. or even going for band prac.. though i do noe lots of them but stil.. the feeling juz came to me naturally.. most are juz hi-bye friends.. come and go very fast.. juz blame it on my life maybe..? not as fortunate as others.. and i did my best already.. i juz hav to surrender myself to dis kind of life.. the same old saying.. everything is juz not fair.. juz have to LIVE WITH IT..

hmm.. a new yr.. 2006.. a new start for everyone.. lets all forget the sad things tt had happened and start afresh yea..? there's always chances.. its up to u whether u wan to do it or not.. a new year.. for me.. its drawing nearer to my ORD date.. though most of my friends are earlier den me.. all the suanings and stuffs.. but who cares.. i m happy with the life there..

alright.. back to my life.. today is my off day.. went early to ssdc to take my final theory test.. was rather easy luckily.. lolz.. and so went back home.. it was raining heavily.. almost lunchtime and i was waiting at a bus stop.. juz outside yio chu kang mrt station.. it was close to dismissal time for the sch.. saw lots of parents fetching their children.. mostly of pri 5 or 6.. happened to see a pri 1 or 2 girl walking towards the bus stop.. carrying a big umbrella.. shld be heading home.. (she's too young to go anywhere except home!) .. was quite shocked tt she actually was alone.. there was no parents fetching her or wad.. moreover it was raining..!! whao.. wad an independent child.. and wad exactly her parents were doing..? cant even spend some time to fetch her..? damn irresponsible la.. really pity her oso.. anyone who had seen this would have feel the same.. my camp had a guy whose parents came to fetch him everyday.. not to criticise him or wad but wouldnt he feel shame to trouble his parents to fetch him..? yes and somemore every time he book in to camp..???!! think he shld hav seen the pri sch kid.. hmm so went home after tt.. tml is a public holiday.. yea no nid to go back!! got another day off .. a fantastic wk indeed..

woke up and had my last yum cha with my elder aunt.. my last day in hk.. its time to leave.. took a cab to the airport.. taxi fare was 295 dollars.. at last the separation came.. feels terrible but hav to when the time comes.. flight was 4-hr long.. due to some turbulence in the area near philippines.. so the route changed.. tv programme was better den the one we came.. dinner was western fish fillet with potato salad.. nt bad though.. touched down at 2030.. sudden change of weather made me feel uncomfortable.. went back home.. hav to unpack fast and prepare to book in tml for stand by.. normal days resume.. dis 1 wk trip was really fast..

whoohoo.. disney day..!! woke up at 0800 sharp and go yum cha.. after which den set off to disneyland.. journey took abt 35min.. we changed lines 3 times.. as it was a sat.. was rather crowded.. lots of tourists sia.. but weather was perfect.. sunny and nt too cold.. took quite a no of pics at the entrance.. first station was the main street of USA.. nt much of entertainment there.. juz some shops.. went to the festival of the lion king.. watched a fantastic skit of the story of the lion king.. sth like a musical la.. quite impressive.. sound effect and the drama was gd.. ok next went to the fantasy land area.. lots of stations mainly for young children and families like dumbo and horse riding stuff.. we had photo taking session with minnie.. but the queue was long.. lunch at one of the restaurant there.. it was damn ex la.. after which we tried to take on the disney railway train.. it was run by steam.. by den we were a bit tired already.. last programme we had was the tour on a boat..sth like around the world tour.. we pass by india where there is elepahants spraying water at us.. cobra.. tribesman.. zebra.. hippo.. and lastly a fire mountain.. we took a train home.. its a 1hr journey back.. too tired to do anything.. had dinner at restaurant below.. another great meal again.. turned in at abt 0100..

hmm shall blog abt the trip to hk.. woke up around 0730.. doing my last preparation for the luggage.. dad drove us to the airport.. had a little minor jam halfway but stil manage to reach at 0900.. went to check in.. quite kinda surprised tt we got the last seat of the plane.. though we are rather early.. at 1120 the plane departed.. taking off was gd.. during the journey i watched a movie called the little manhattan.. its a comedy drama talking abt the relationship between a 10yr old bly called gab and a 11yr old girl called rosemary.. gab had a crush on the girl and its kinda funny because of their small age.. plus actions and confessing here and there.. yupz.. landing was nt very smooth.. with a little jerk.. so when the jerk occur the whole plane was like "whoh".. probably due to the big plane and cant brake on time la.. grandfather and my cousin were there to pick us up.. we took back the same bus as the last trip back to a nearby mrt station.. had a small meal at the coral restaurant.. really missed the food there.. weather was extremely cold.. hmm oh yes and it was my cousin's bdae today.. nv wish her coz its awkward to tok to her as we had nt been talking for like a million yrs.. turned in early at abt 2200..

have been a long time since i blog.. thinking back.. there's nt really interesting stuff to mention during dis period of time.. so i juz briefly talk abt it.. weather had changed too suddenly for the last wk.. frm burning hot weather to like slightly above 20 degrees..? was really freezing la whenever i tk bus to work or wad.. think somehow i catch a flu during tt period.. and true enough within like 4 days weather resume to normal "singapore weather".. humid and hot.. killer for ppl doing duty.. think if in hong kong now will b different.. cold and dry.. looking forward to goin back in dec.. woohoo.. finally.. did took my leave frm 8th to 19th dec.. approved by my new pc.. 2lt yeo.. though i stil prefer my old pc.. my batch of nsf cant bring forward my leave so have to clear everything by dis yr.. hmm had been listening to november chopin during night duties.. really feel tt it is a great album.. alot of improvement since his first album.. about 7 songs are really nice.. hmm so i hav a higher expectation of his next album next yr.. oh yes and muz catch his next concert.. heard his previous 1 was fantastic.. lolz.. back to camp life.. got a few nights i have been dreaming alot.. juz normal dreams.. but the worse thing is tt i cant seem to leave my dream.. u noes wads the feeling..? its like u are stuck inside ur dream.. confined within it.. unable to get out of it.. out of reality i would describe.. really feel terrible.. was sweating when i woke up by my alarm clock.. luckily.. it was gone after a few days..

ok duty today.. yest was on leave so book in at 0830 today.. duty spec was sgt koh.. everyone thinks he is a quite a bad-tempered person.. always very moody whenever we see him.. moreover he is quite a "by the rule" person so treat duties very seriously.. me keith and amos did 7-10 at night at gate B.. den suddenly.. sgt koh came to us.. he bcame to realise keith nv had his cortex with him so he started to shout at him.. "where's ur cortex?".. " is this the way ur treat ur duty?".. i emphasized.. he shouted it.. den he went on to comment abt out bunk toilet.. coz due to some irresponsible ppl who dump alot of tissue paper after some big business and so it got stuck.. so again he shouted to us.. "did ur do ur routine clean up?".. "ur wan to play the hard way?".. "ur wan to play punk with me rite?".. den he stormed off after tt.. i m sure with tt volume any1 would get stunned and shocked for awhile.. so for the next 1hr 3 of us were wondering will he confine us and stuff lidat.. after tt amos approach him and suggested we cleaned the toilet back when we finished our duty.. so he calmed down by den.. phew no extra punishments for us.. and soon we realise how come he had such a change of temper.. it was bcoz when he went to the bunk and ask one of our section guy howard if we had done any cleaning up today.. and he swiftly replied a "yes".. when actually we did not.. so tt really pissed him off.. so i dun really blamed him for shouting at us just now.. so another disaster is over.. middle of the night had a bad dream.. dreamt of myself studying and serving army at the same time.. so got 1 day i realise it was the first day of A level exam and its bcoz of the army tt i sort of missed it and hav to spend another yr to tk the exam again.. sounded quite ridiculous but to me hmm i feel uneasy abt the dream.. first thing i woke up frm it i had such a big relief bcoz i realise tt it was only a dream.. phew.. did duty at 3am to 5am.. i surprisingly saw her coming out frm tower B and i opened the gate for her.. hehe.. well lately she had been going home late.. and oso coming to work early.. like around 5.50am?.. can u imagine a person bcoz of work and had to go home at midnight 3am+ .. and luckily a cab was waiting for her to send her home.. tts madness la.. such a workaholic.. pity her.. hmm.. nvm.. so did prowling after tt.. went back to slp at 0530..

a surprise for me..!! an artiste is coming to safra radio for an interview.. and the person is fish leong..!! hmm.. she really looked so great in person den in tv.. it was only awhile but stil managed to catch her face when she came in.. coz was doing duty at tt time so cant get autograph.. lolz.. but its the first time i've ever met an artiste in camp..? hope there will b more in future..? lolz.. duty was tiring as usual.. book out the next day..

hmm some thoughts came to my mind.. most of the time we did wrong things.. things tt we shldnt do.. and we've always tried to imagine ourselves if we could turn back time and do it again so things wun go wrong.. but let say if we really can turn back time.. and do the thing another way round.. we might change our history totally.. we may land up in a very different life.. different lifestyles.. personalities.. and even we may nt even have met some of our friends tt we r supposed to meet.. so wad i wan to say is tt do not ever regret every single thing tt you do.. and to really treasure friends around you..

hmm did duty today.. had a little incident happened in the morning.. coz all the gates were locked and a power 98 dj went in by car to work.. for security we had to check the car.. so i went forward to ask her.. first thing was supposed to check the car boots.. but i accidentally slipped my tongue and said.. "err can i check your boots..? " the word car was missing.. hmm it can cause alot of misunderstanding if u had alot of imaginations esp in terms of pronounciations.. hmm den she replied "huh my boots..?" damn.. was a little bit embarrassed at that moment.. esp when she had no joking expressions at that time.. so quickly corrected my statemements again.. " oh i mean your car boots.." only den she started to open it.. but luckily she did nt hav very serious face if nt i might land up in some unwanted situations.. the next day went to buy jay's new album in tower records at suntec.. called "november's chopin".. is really another gd album.. my rating is above average..

hmm.. met up with eileen to give her the shoes for her cousin.. a new balance shoe.. cheaper compared to outside so ask me help her buy.. lolz.. met at bugis junction at abt 2pm.. initially wanted to eat at yoshinoya but it was crowded and filled with ppl.. so in the end we ate at the foodcourt juz opposite.. waited for abt 5 min for the seat as it was crowded with ppl too.. had bak chor mee for lunch.. after which she brings me to bugis village for a fruit drink.. haha coz she say it costs only $1.. compared to outside $2.. the quality is abt the same so its worth it la.. after which i suggested to go to explore the new national library juz beside bugis junction.. its 9 storey high if i remembered correctly.. at first i really tot it was a big library.. but only to realise that it was not the case.. we went level by level up.. 1/2 of them were art galleries.. some storey din hav anything except the toilet.. -_-'' went all the way up to the top to get a view of how high the building is.. haha its really damn high.. shocked me for a while.. till den we stil cant find a decent and proper library for borrowing of books.. its only we decided to went back down by lift den we realise the so called "central library" is at Basement 1.. -_-'' tts quite stupid man.. went all the way up to search for it but in the end its at the bottom.. lolz.. we took a look inside den we left.. after which she wanted to go to temple and pray so accompanied her oso.. hmm probably for her As..? lastly we went to the nearby og to shop for stuffs.. yupz after tt went home by bus.. was very tired after tt.. fell asleep on the bus.. reached home den went for a jog at the stadium.. totally shacked when i reached back home..

hmm.. not in a mood to blog nowadays.. firstly because basically everyday is doing the same thing.. doin duty and off at the 3rd day.. and another is that duty is getting worse each day.. now we have manpower shortage.. from a normal 9-man section to a 5-man section.. due to weilong and robin taking mc and max and amos ord-ing in less den a month's time.. we suffered during our night duty la basically.. doin like 4-5 hr instead of 2 hr.. damn.. tts so unfair to us la.. other section had a 13-man section.. and they can so called "enjoy" their night duty.. plus now we are not allowed to sit and so posed more physical challenges.. or rather tortures.. tinking of it.. i realise myself very unfortunate.. y must it happened in my section? and when the adf and the sgt are gone.. we experienced even more problems.. a total of 11 men are required per duty.. how?? our camp commanders are nt doing any thing to solve this damn problem and even insist on the number of ppl for duty even though some are REALLY redundant.. those "extras".. according to them.. are for image sake.. omg.. thankz man.. they dun care how we feel.. juz feel like askingthem to stand at the gate and do duty and realise how jialat it was.. but luckily during dis period of time our section mates got along together well.. bcoz we got common enemies and complains?? wadeva the case i hope manpower problems will b solved soon.. pls..

duty today as usual.. did gate B den vehicle check area.. everything went quite smoothly.. at night did gate B there with keith.. we chatted quite awhile.. and seriously.. shared our relationship experiences with each other.. i learnt quite alot.. after hearing abt his views on relationship before and after marriage.. its really 2 different feelings.. we oso shared our views on our further studies and careers in the future.. he decided to go to uk for his uni studies while i decided to stay here.. never regretted this conversation.. really this changed me quite alot.. psychologically.. and more confident as to wad to expect in the future.. thankz keith.. a very gd inspiration session.. lol.. did 1-3 and prowl after tt.. yupz tts all..

duty today.. tried the new system.. tts the opening of the vehicle check area.. rather confused at first but got it finally after a while.. so our job is to control the opening and closing of the barrier while the sgt will do the checking of vehicle.. yesterday nights off we got to come back by 2200 coz we hav to do some sk.. tt suckx man.. so me and aug went to tiong bahru plaza to buy some stuff den eat at burger king over there.. went to supermarket to buy food den immediately come back to camp.. we dismentled the gate a tentage.. damn dirty and wet bcoz of the rain.. and move all the retractable barriers back to ccoddt.. den move some barriers at the parade square.. so tired after all this.. finally finish at around 0000 den have a long bath.. ok back to the day.. met edwin back in cmpb career centre.. he came back to settle his contract.. so tok to him for a while den he went off le.. duty rest is at guard house.. pretty comfortable to me coz its mosquito-free and abit air-conditioned.. lol.. yupz finish my duty and book out at 0900 the next morning..

went back to cmpb for duty after the rp course.. a lot of changes since i left there.. like closing of gate a.. only cars are allowed to enter but nt the people.. opening of the the new guard house.. saw a lot of new specs too.. today is sgt gilbert for duty spec and bcoz i hav driving theory test at 8 so i asked him to let me go off at 6.. he immediately agreed.. heard every1 say he is the best spec and i definitely muz agree.. so had lunch at 1115.. missed the great food here compared to the cookhouse food in kranji camp.. den at 1200 did gate a with weilong.. our duty task is to prevent ppl frm leaving and entering the camp.. dis irritates quite alot of ppl.. especially the dsta ppl.. bcoz by doing this they are walking 1 big round.. but wad to do.. all commander's orders.. den later did parade square with robin.. as promised sgt gilbert allow me to leave at 1800 after sending arms.. he's really a nice guy.. even wished my good luck for my test.. so quickly took a cab to ssdc.. passed my test.. yea and i saw something meaningful.. a phrase tt says...

"if today was perfect.. there's no need to tomorrow.."

i tink it is meaningful for those ppl taking promos and a level.. indirectly saying tt it's normal tt we made mistakes and scored marks tt we did nt expect.. learning is a life-time process.. if everybody scored well den there's no point for tomorrow.. no point taking any further more tests or examinations.. i hope i do make some sense out of it.. lol..

sunday today.. went to ssdc to do some theory test.. quite bored la.. after tt went to help my sis to search for some ten-yrs series.. went to 4 different populars but stil cant find it.. dotz.. met fu at hmv orchard.. coz we are supposed to watch the change of guards parade at istana.. and my rp course commander was inside the marching contingent and so we went to support him.. went to heeren there to look for him and chatted wif him for a while before he got ready to form up.. they marched from heeren there all the way to istana.. with the mps and the marching band.. we met johan at istana.. den upon reaching there they started the change of guards drills all tt.. followed by the mps doing precision drills.. whoohoo.. they were fantastic man.. and very impressive.. things like spinning their m16 rifle.. passing the rifle to each other and their formation drills etc.. damn nice.. there were alot of on-lookers.. and they got a round of applause at the end.. after tt they marched off.. whole thing takes abt half an hour.. yupz den the 3 of us went to arcade to play for a while.. played ghost squad and initial d.. went to ps to buy some stuff before i came back home for my dinner.. watched the rest of the serials of the "survivor's law".. nice ending.. learnt sth at the end.. "when u hav made a mistake.. be it serious or light.. wad matters most is tt u realise it and willing to change.. and frenz around you will be willing to forgive you and continue to support u.." hmm though it sounds very common.. but tink of it nt many ppl are willing to admit their mistakes.. they choose to escape and in the end they stepped into a deeper hole.. i dun deny the fact tt everyone does makes mistakes.. juz hope dis little phrase will help and give courage to those who do nt know wad they shld do when they are in such situations..

rp course day 10.. pt again.. but it will be the last pt lesson for the course.. so after the normal run we did extra light exercises like crunches push-ups and jumping jet.. did a total of 3 sets before we hav our warm down.. lectures was on military laws.. rather interesting.. coz basically a serviceman can be charged for any offences he did.. another searches on arrest.. searches and investigation.. wad to do all tt.. sth happened in the late afternoon.. a "chinaman" was bullied by some of the guys.. he was made to salute to the air-con serviceman.. march around the stage.. ya and dis incident was reported to the course commander.. the culprits all admitted.. luckily.. and so only they were punished.. but i tink is bcoz the victim was being irritating in the first place.. which caused the rest to so called "revenged" on him by making him do stupid things.. tt guy could hav walked out.. but he seems to enjoy doing all the stuff.. weird guy.. got big scolding by the course commander.. tt spoils the mood for the day.. ya tts all..

rp course day 9.. lots of lectures today.. very dry.. included media relations.. escorting.. security.. breaches of security.. at lunch saw staff toh in the canteen.. went to chat with him awhile.. ask us how we feel abt the course so far.. he is posted to the dog wing unit.. ya and he enjoys being there.. did changing of magazine inside the lecture room.. using m16 with bayonet.. minimum requirement is within 6sec.. but can easily did it within 4sec.. it can b faster using sar21.. lol.. yupz we did some theory on scenarios for poi.. basically talk and discuss abt wad to do during different types of situation.. tot it was practical but in the end juz discussion.. tts all..

rp course day 5.. time flies so fast.. 1 more wk and we can pass out frm the course.. hmm.. today pt again.. 2.4km again.. and did alot of push-ups bcoz of some irresponsible trainees who nv bother to call staff abt being late or taking mcs.. learnt traffic accident management and vehicle spotcheck.. hmm.. did practical on the vehicle spotcheck oso.. it was very fast.. ya basically for the course so far.. 80% spent on lecture.. 15% spent on marching and the remaining 5% sleeping.. seriously sleeping was unevitable.. so many boring lecture periods and sometimes bcoz of the lecturer talking damn slowly.. yea and many of us were caught sleeping.. in the end did push-ups and jumping jet..

rp course day 4.. had handcuff lesson today.. learnt different kind of handcuffs and the proper way to handcuff suspects.. had practical lesson on tt.. was very fun.. tried to arrest one another as though the other party had committed some crime lidat.. good experience for us.. the one being handcuff-ed can be very painful if the police use too much force to lock both the arms.. so appropriate force had to be use.. learnt LOAC (Laws of Armed Conflict) as well as ROE (Rules of Engagement) .. overall.. learnt quite alot for today..

hmm.. first day of my rp course.. is at mowbray camp.. sch of provost.. basically is a mp camp.. at choa chu kang area.. woke up early.. took a cab there.. coz of the stay-in stuff.. was raining heavily halfway.. reached at 0855.. and the fare cost me a bomb.. $20.30!! went to the company audi to do some admin stuff.. den we were told tt the course is a stay-out course.. damn.. met the ppl frm ccoddt.. jonathan.. lam.. johann howard and ho kun.. the camp was really regimental.. very damn particular abt everything.. like length of hair.. being late.. bringing of camera phone and mp3.. never march properly etc.. reminded me of lives of bmt.. ps was staff selva.. and cc was 2lt nicholas.. waited for very long b4 we had our cookhouse lunch.. food was nt as satisfactory compared to those of cmpb.. first lesson start after we camp back from lunch.. first lesson was "roles, tasks and power of RP".. and den followed by "SAF dress regulation".. which talks abt correct dressing methods and wad type of saf dress codes are there.. time passes very quickly.. and abt 1830 we finished our lessons and got ready to book out.. wad a waste.. brought back everything tt i brought for stay-in except for the sbo.. took mrt to yio chu kang den took 853 back to my house.. hmm guess tts all..

hmmz another off day for me..!! coz if stand by on a weekend its considered an off day..!! whoohoo..!! had a very nice slp.. woke up rather late.. did nth much today.. played gunbound all the way.. lolz.. today v sian la.. shall nt blog much on today.. tml is duty.. tink tts all..

off day today..!! but range today oso.. so unlucky.. woke up at 0555.. din know the time to draw arms so wake myself up early.. later in the day den i know that we were suppose to wake up at 0545 and draw arms at 0600.. nvmz.. after draw finish.. got everything ready and hop into the van.. took some time to reach there.. range was at nee soon camp.. went there a few times before.. took abt 45 min.. and something very unexpected happened.. argh.. after we entered the camp.. halfway.. i tink the driver nv brake in time for the hump.. den.. the car broke down..!! wha liew.. of all times y now..??? so damn suai.. in the end had to walk all the way to the range area.. reminded us of the route march we had during bmt.. when we reached.. we were briefed by a conducting officer.. safety and stuff.. i was in detail one.. lane 2.. everyone only shoot 12 rounds.. and luckily.. no ia for me..!! whoohoo.. i tink tts the lucky thing of the day.. shooting was quite ok.. grouping was gd except the last mag.. was abit out.. den after tt got thorough check on any ammo on us.. everything ended fast.. was back on the van by 0915.. on the way back got quite alot of jam.. went back to clean our rifle.. supervised by pc.. wha liew he damn strict sia.. took us till 1200 before our section book out time.. reached home at abt 1345.. played gunbound.. and went for dinner at hougang mall.. went home after tt and slp..

duty day today..!! woke up at 0830.. went for breakfast at canteen B.. after which receive a call from max tt we nid to draw arms.. so immediately we finished the food and went back to draw arms.. but nv sign.. did gate B at 0900.. with weilong and max.. chatted quite alot.. there was dis guy who went for counciling.. but forgot to pay taxi fare.. den the taxi driver came in to look for him.. i tink the guy realise that and went out to look for the taxi driver.. in the end they met.. got some small conflicts there.. after that the guy went off.. was so bored.. folded some paper cranes there.. duty soon ends.. went to e mart to buy some stuff.. after which went to canteen to tapao fishball noodle.. tapao for weilong oso.. went to bunk to eat.. rest till next duty at 1400.. did parade square with robin and james.. tok alot over there.. abt james overseas basketball match.. we clamped a car there..!! was robin's idea.. coz the driver suppose to park there for a few min.. but they spent like half an hour.. so clamp..!! lolz.. ok den went back.. got my security pass.. oh my.. knocked my head accidentally against the bed metal frame..!! damn pain sia.. the impact was loud.. my god.. everybody turned to look at me.. so unlucky.. dinner arriver quite late today.. had chicken chop fried rice.. after tt read awhile before i was called to clean arms for tml's range.. damn!! no rest siaz.. staff yuen was inside.. took me abt 1hr to finish.. first time check by him and ok liaoz.. by den already 2100.. time for my next night duty.. so did with augustine.. finish at 2100.. went to bunk to slp till the next morning..
